Technical data
COP – Coefficient of Performance (energy of heated water/electricity required to heat water).
COP 4.0 means that for every 1 unit of electrical energy consumed, the system delivers 4 units of heat energy. (400% efficiency)
COP IN RELATION TO AIR TEMPERATURE
Air Temp °C | COP
20–25 °C | 4.0
10 °C | 3.2
-5-0 °C | 2.0
Water Production Rate
Inlet Air Temp / COP | Water Production per 1 Hour
(55°C) 20°C / 4.0 | 35 L/h
10°C / 3.2 | 28 L/h
-5°C / 2.0 | 23 L/h

Advantages of the New Generation
The new generation of ELIX hybrid heat pumps uses a new heat exchanger system that includes a new compressor and the innovative refrigerant R-290.
Advantages of the R-290 Refrigerant:
- Environmental Friendliness: R-290 has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3, compared to R-134a’s GWP of about 1,430. This makes R-290 significantly more environmentally friendly. Additionally, R-290 has a zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
- Energy Efficiency: R-290 offers better thermodynamic performance with higher coefficients of performance (COP) than R-134a. As a result, heat pumps using R-290 consume less energy for the same heating or cooling output.
- Low Operating Pressure: R-290 operates at lower pressures compared to other refrigerants, which reduces component stress.
- Reduced Refrigerant Charge: Systems using R-290 require a smaller amount of refrigerant due to its superior thermodynamic properties. The reduced refrigerant flow through the compressor also results in lower electricity consumption.
- Energy Savings: The reduced compressor load directly contributes to energy savings, making R-290-based systems more cost-efficient in the long term.
Quality
- LED display with touch control.
- Porcelain-enamel tank (offers high corrosion resistance and pressure strength).
- Highly efficient microchannel heat exchanger with a larger heat transfer area. The heat exchanger does not come into contact with the water in the tank, eliminating corrosion or leakage risks.
- Intelligent defrosting.
- Enclosure made of painted, galvanized steel.
- Built-in magnesium protection anode — protection against corrosion.
Our heat pump is like a refrigerator in reverse. Just think about it – do refrigerators break down often? The simple answer – elix water heater works flawlessly for decades!
Advantages of Using the ELIX Hybrid Heat Pump with a Separate Heating System
- Energy Savings: Separating heating and hot water production allows the central boiler to be switched off outside the heating season, resulting in significant energy savings.
- Extended System Lifespan: Turning off the central heating system during summer months helps to prolong its lifespan.
- Flexible Installation: The heat pump can be installed in any room, thanks to its quiet operation and absence of odors or soot, making it suitable for locations like a utility room or garage.
Advantages of the ELIX Hybrid System
Since the heating performance of the heat pump decreases with lower outdoor temperatures or may be insufficient during high hot water demand, an electric heating element is included as a standard feature. Despite the additional electricity costs, integrating the heating element is a logical choice as it can be used year-round. The electric heating element serves as a backup (with an integrated safety thermostat) and ensures a constant hot water temperature even under extreme winter conditions or high water demand. The inefficient short-term use of the heating element is compensated by the efficient use of the air-source heat pump at higher air temperatures, which positively impacts annual efficiency. When operating in heat pump mode, the boiler consumes 5.71 kW per day, which, according to energy rates in the European Union, costs 1 euro.
Just think – 300 liters of hot water for only 1 euro a day!

WiFi Controller Functions
The Elix Hybrid Heat Pump can connect to an accessible WiFi network, allowing users to control the device via the “Smart Life” app.
- Eco Mode: Heat pump operation only.
- Hybrid Mode: Combined operation of the heat pump and the electric heating element.
- Temperature adjustment/modification.
- Ability to schedule operating times.
- Power on/off control.
- Option to set operation during off-peak hours to reduce electricity costs.

Using the ELIX Heat Pump as a Dehumidifier
The ELIX hot water heat pump can function as a dehumidifier.
During operation, it extracts heat and moisture from the surrounding air by condensing the moisture with the help of the evaporator coil.
The condensed water is drained away, making the air drier.
This dual function is especially useful in humid spaces such as garages or basements.
Installation Requirements for ELIX Heat Pump

Maintenance of the ELIX Heat Pump
